In Charleston. Grace and I spent ALL day here and it was one of the best we have been to:)
Found this all alone between two buildings. Must be there so the owner doesn't need to get a building permit for an existing structure!!!
Grace woke up, dressed herself and opened up her gifts before anyone else could even watch!
And she couldn't wait for more gifts! She insisted on handing her cousins the gifts we got them too
Thanks to Gracie's Uncle Dave and Aunt Lisa we had a lovely evening and dinner at their warm and welcoming home.
All ready to head out in the cold for some yummy food Aunt Lisa gourmeted up for us all!
This reminded me of NJ beaches but where were the jelly fish? Hehe
There was so much oceanlife washed up from the tide. Grace had a lot to learn about and play with:)

It's been awhile for Grace to hang out at a playground so she lived it up today!
We left Georgetown and hope to be in Charleston SC tomorrow so we stopped at a marina and walked town where we have seen the grandest Spanish Moss Trees and Oaks

Finally putting some miles behind us! Went for a tiny walk upon arriving Wacca Wache marina. Don't ask us to pronounce that one! Anyways the Spanish moss trees here have some stout vines to swing on as you can see!
Had to get a closeup if her requested braids. Really helps keep the knots from forming!
Grace enjoyed outside as much as we did this day. It was sunny and clear and the current was with us so we made 35 miles today! Georgetown tomorrow!
To condos and resorts. We couldn't get away from suburbia so we ate pizza for dinner and stocked up on goods. Can you believe we've been thru two french presses already and couldn't find one in this area? Heck people had no clue what I was even talking about!

Dad couldn't resist this restaurant for dinner. Good view good food and change of scenery. Oh yeah fog finally lifted around 4:30pm but rain clouds are moving in! Aye yayai

Once again weather diverted us to a closer marina than expected. Fog was SO thick today so we took the dinghy over to the por side of the ICW to hit the beach!
Mike's son, Josh, would love this book we found that is so fitting for a man of how many forty years now?!

We ended up in a great town for Mikes Birthday. Complete with stores restaurants library and Southern style ambience
Masonboro Marina was a place to regroup before we tackle Cape Fear. Even the name makes ya worry some!
Took the day off from the boat and borrowed a car (Beamer!) to run errands and even caught "Princess & the Frog". How wondeful a movie from Disney and I was just explaining to Grace lastnight how princesses even have to work for what they want!
We've been riding cold fronts from the getgo it seems but this was a reassuring stop it can only get warmer and better. Especially since we bought appropriate gear to wear it'll warm up now!

Here's an Osprey that was doing touch and gos while we floated thru the area. Saw helicopters too and heard blasts for two days straight being so close to the training areas
Playing in between rain and wind while Mike checks out the failing engine again. At least Grace and I are seeing the towns!
Enjoyed our stay here for two days while we fixed the electrical system

This was one of the coolest and oldest cemeteries that Mike found for us to walk thru. Had Revolutionary and Civil War burials and the twistiest trees -very cool
Grace was very interactive as you can see! It was such a treat to be toasty warm again.
We got a hotel room just so Grave could see this special show. I didn't mind a break from the boat either hehe
